There comes a point in every thoughtful coach’s journey when the question becomes less:

What coaching tool should I use here?

And more:

Is this actually working? Am I helping people change… or are we just having interesting conversations?

I bet your clients are pretty self-aware.

They are on to their own perfectionism, procrastination, people-pleasing, overthinking and self-criticism. They might even have a good idea about where these patterns come from.

But as you are likely finding, knowing more about a pattern doesn’t create the means to respond differently to it.

Which probs leaves you wondering: What actually helps people make real changes in their lives? Am I missing something important? 

And beneath all of this is often a more vulnerable question:

Does my coaching really make a difference?

And these questions tend to follow you into your business…

Because it’s difficult to confidently market your coaching when a part of you is wondering whether it creates the change people are paying for.

You probably find yourself struggling to explain what makes your work different. Making vague, careful promises. Holding back from marketing as wholeheartedly as you want to.

And even when someone says yes, the joy of signing a new client is quickly followed by another flicker of doubt:

Can I actually deliver the depth of change I’ve invited them to believe is possible?
